Hey there! I’m Rachel.
I’m a surface designer and illustrator currently living in beautiful Colorado. I’m a lifelong artist, maker & crafter!
I’ve been an artist all my life - since I could pick up a pencil. I spent my childhood in the middle of the Mojave Desert of California, and we lived off the grid with no electricity or running water! I did a lot of reading and artwork. To this day, my art is heavily inspired by my childhood close to nature, and the many fairytales I read.
I love all kinds of art and design. I works as both a visual designer in tech and as a surface pattern designer. I love making designs filled with imaginative scenes & characters, and plenty of color and texture. I’m also an avid sewist, so creating fabric that I can use in my own home and apparel projects is pretty cool!
I also love paper crafting! I have an Etsy shop named Fantasy Art Journal where I create paper crafting projects with my illustrations. I really enjoy the challenge of creating and testing the technical layouts! I also do all of the branding and marketing myself.
I really enjoy creating commercial artwork and illustrations. As a Taurus, I love filling my home with objects that bring me joy, and artwork is a huge part of that. It’s really fulfilling to create things that I know people will use, enjoy, and delight in.
